Voice Embodiment
Holistic Vocal Training Infused with Somatic Practices
"It feels like love pouring through."
My Voice Embodiment methodology integrates somatic stress release techniques, vocal training, and holistic voice opening to evoke deeper presence and higher expression through a full-bodied singing experience.
Throughout my life, I have experienced a profound presence when I sing. It feels like love pouring through me. However, the feeling of love, light, and ease that I experienced when singing in creative contexts contrasted starkly with my experience in formal training settings, in which singing felt uninspiring and exhausting. What was the difference?
This feeling of being so embodied, present, and connected ultimately inspired me to become a singer. The contrast in these experiences piqued my curiosity about how singing can transform our nervous system and emotional states, and what might block it from doing so.
In the process of obtaining certification as a Somatic Stress Release practitioner, I began to uncover the science and theories behind my singing experiences. I am thrilled to be integrating somatic stress release and vocal coaching to support others in opening up these powerful pathways, to experience singing in its absolute essence and at the same time, promote well-being and nervous system balance.

"Luminous" vs. "Dark" Singing
The core of Voice Embodiment is "Luminous" singing. This is my way of describing a quality of singing that brings you vitality and palpable sense of ease and well-being. It comes from a somatic nervous system state unobstructed by conditioning around good, bad, right, or wrong.
While we will incorporate vocal technique and training in every session to ensure safety of the vocal organs and high quality sound, our primary focus is on accessing the nervous system state that permits a truly embodied, creative, liberated singing experience.
